GSPro Official Designs

Shadow Ridge Country Club
Pure Conditions, Pure Golf

A private gem from Jackson-Kahn designs is as good as it gets for a fair and challenging day of golf. This course is lush perfection and a beautiful layout of of thoughtful holes. Set in Omaha, Nebraska, the course is actually framed with lovely neighborhoods of impressive homes. GSPro was given the green light to bring the course "back to nature" and let the holes meander through woods and grasslands to highlight the beauty of the land. This is a course than anyone would be proud to be a member of and play every day of the week. This course has endless challenges with no disappointing holes or boring stretches. Although likely not a known course to the larger golfing world, this layout will quickly become a favorite track to get rounds in whenever you step into your sim.

Tobacco Road Golf Course
The Most Unique and Incredible Masterpiece in America

When I was hired as the GSPro official designer, it was just minutes later they told me that Tobacco Road would be my first design for them. It was hard for me to believe. Tobacco Road has been at the top of my personal lists of dream courses for as long as it has existed. I was a college kid when I discovered it, although I've never played it. I have the original scorecard from the course which I received after MAILING a litter to them requesting it just for my own keepsake. Designing this course was a monumental effort. It is hard to imagine anything more challenging to digitally re-create. I'm incredibly proud of the effort, but it deserved the biggest effort I have ever given.

Lot Fifteen
The Dream Backyard

The dream for nearly every golfer on earth. A short game course in your backyard. This is the reality for renowned architect David Kahn of Jackson-Kahn Design. Sculpted by their master shaper and maintained in an intentionally natural and rustic "at home golf" flavor, this course is the ultimate in short game work, creativity, and fun. I should know, I've visited and played in the real world! It's every bit as magical as it looks on the screen.

Bootlegger's Lair
A Short Course built on History

Bootleggers Lair brings something to GSPro that goes beyond the standard 18 hole Championship Course. As short courses and practice facilities gain prominence and popularity to the real golfing world, one property looked to GSPro to model their dream before ground is broken for real. Currently in construction on a historic farm in New York, Bootleggers Lair was first designed in game as a proof of concept. Not just a short course, but a property overflowing with creativity and shot making. A full 18 hole wedge and short game course is available, but the real treat is in practice mode, dropping balls anywhere you want to challenge yourself. There is also a "stumps course" cut through the woods and gardens and a "driving range" with unique targets of stone, earth and metal.

Conway Farms
PGA Tour Championship Course

Conway Farms has a long history of play on the PGA Tour and in other Amateur and Collegiate Championships. As host to the BMW Championship and FedEx Cup playoffs, it's been well established as a tour test and pure golf challenge. It is now fresh of a stunning re-imagining by the renowned Jackson Kahn Architects team. It is a long, demanding, gorgeous course that requires literally every shot in the bag. This course is a precise blend of immaculate and rugged, and it asks a great deal from golfers of all levels. Truly one of my favorite course builds, but also a course I will play over and over again.

Royal New Kent
A Strantz Classic, Irish Golf in America

“Long ago, when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today, “it’s called golf.” –Irish saying

Royal New Kent was designed by Mike Strantz as his third solo effort. Strantz is regarded as one of the most influential golf architects of the past 25 years even though he designed just seven courses individually. All of them have been ranked in the USA Top 100.  Royal New Kent is a timeless but bold take on links golf in Providence Forge, Virginia. Flowing across 7,440 yards of windswept, rugged landscape, Royal New Kent can be one of the most difficult courses in the country if played from the tips (“Invicta” tees – means “unconquered” from the moto from Kent, England) with a tough 76.8/154 course and slope rating. Royal New Kent has been called “the truest representation of an Irish links in America” and is reminiscent of the Irish Landscape where links courses such as Royal County Down and Ballybunion were built. The landing areas are wide, therefore, played from the correct set of tees for different levels of ability the tee shot is not too dangerous. This is a course that requires focus and concentration on the second shots as there are varieties of danger and difficulty lurking, including 105 strategically placed bunkers, most of them large and/or deep. The newly transitioned Champions Bermuda greens are very large and provide inviting targets with bold swales and ridges. They are hidden behind sharp, grassy knolls, hand stacked rock walls and tall fescue grass.

The Hills Course
Fictional Links Carved by Glaciers

A deeply meaningful course to myself and my family, The Hills Course is a fictional layout routed on the farmland I grew up on. I dreamed of links golf on this property my entire life, and GSPro helped me bring it into reality. Overlooking my Grandparent's farmhouse I grew up at, "the hills" that I played in as a child now flow with minimally intrusive fairways and greens, carved through the valley's and perched on the sharp plateau's of the Big Stone and Traverse lake valley's of western Minnesota. This course was created to embrace the land I grew up exploring, not to intrude or change it beyond what is has always been. Beautiful, rugged, and teaming with wildlife and adventure.
